Thursday's treasures

The kids finally went back to school. It was the longest summer ever! And it was, school was delayed a month due to construction in all the schools. Now we're getting used to the longest days ever. My oldest gets on the bus for High school at 5:50 in the morning! That means the house starts moving at 5:00am. My youngest, at the Elementary school, doesn't get home till 4:30 in the afternoon. And all this is before they get involved in the after school activities. Needless to say, everyone is tired. Last night at 9pm I went around to tell the kids bedtime. I couldn't find them. All 3 were already in bed, fast asleep. I enjoyed my quiet evening but I just couldn't keep my eyes open much past 10pm. Now I've got the house to myself during the day, I can clean the house and it'll stay clean for a few hours, I can play in the kitchen creating, catch up on my blog reading and visiting.

And the very best part-no Sponge Bob on the TV! I can just have my music playing and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Last week you all linked up so many wonderful recipes. Debi from Recipes for my Boys and I really enjoy seeing what you link up each week.
A few that caught my eye were

Caramel Apple Cookie Bars from A Kitchen Addiction

Double Chocolate Muffins from Annie's Noms

High School Oatmeal Cookies from Isabelle at Home

Pepper Cumin Cookies from Simply Sweet'n Savory

Debi's not feeling well so here are a few extra's she wanted featured. Be sure to pop over to Debi's and give her a get well hug!

Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches with Gravy from Love Bakes Good Cakes

Corona Grilled Pork Chops from Carrie's Experimental Kitchen

Now on to this week's party.
You know how parties work,
link up a few of your favorite recipes, provide a link back somewhere on your post
or on your party page, If you don't provide the link back, we can't feature you.
visit a few others and leave some kind words.
Oh and make sure you drop by Debi's, give her a hug from me and follow her, she's also on Facebook.
We'll be popping by to comment, Pin and feature on facebook so leave a light on for us.

Also, Be sure to check out this post on Pinterest.

It's How I use Pinterest.  We all want exposure for our blogs, this is the first step. I'll be posting how I pin this Saturday, so be sure and come back.

Oh, and when you post you're recipes to Facebook, post a photo and put your link in the comments, I'm finding photos get more views, likes and comments than just a link! And I love sharing photos!

  2. Thank you for hosting and the feature :) I can't imagine having school days that long. I think it would be a disservice to the kids - a regular school day is exhausting enough, let alone add more time! Enjoy your peace and quiet ;)
