Chocolate makes everything better, I believe this! I love to bake, I love the smell in the house when something is in the oven, I love the look on my family's faces when they know I have been baking.

Homemade Pizza Sauce
We've fallen in love with homemade pizza around here. It's just so easy once you get into making it yourself. And faster too. We could all load up the truck and head out to a pizza place and order a pizza, wait for them to cook it, finally bring it to the table, enjoy the pizza because it is fresh out of the oven. And pay way to much for it. Yes, we have a few really good pizza places around here. But honestly, I hate trying to get everyone ready to go, etc. I like to eat at home.
The other choice is to go for delivery. We have one place that delivers to our home. They're ok. It's one of those national chains. But again, cost, time and oh, the pizza's only luke warm, nope, I'll take my homemade. And so will everyone else in the house.
I've been experimenting with doughs and I finally found one that is easy, I'd even say fail proof, and tastes just like the best pizzeria you can find. So I had to find a sauce. There are a few jars sauces out there we like but again, they can be a little pricey. And I like to know what's going into my food.
I found this sauce on pinterest. I think it's probably one of the most pinned sauces on there. And the one's that weren't from this site, used this recipe to make theirs. You know what? Everyone of those pinners is right. This sauce is awesome! And you won't believe how fast and easy it is to make.
Homemade Pizza Sauce
adapted from Cooking for Seven
12 ounce can tomato paste
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons dried oregano
4 teaspoons garlic powder
4 teaspoons onion powder
1 tablespoon salt
1-2 bay leaves
2 teaspoons sugar
1 cup water
Toss all your ingredients in a medium saucepan. Over medium low heat, stir till all ingredients are combined, then simmer, stirring occasionally for about 30 minutes.
Taste test, you may need to add a bit more salt to taste.
Use for fresh pizza or as a side with some garlic bread.
I'll be sharing the dough recipe with you next week.
I've linked up at a few of these great parties.
Yummy this looks great. I will need to try it out on our next pizza night
